Dr. Gabrielle Lyon coined the term musclespan to define the “length of time that you live with healthy skeletal muscle”. Basically, defining muscle in a functional capacity, not simply aesthetically.
This low-volume plan incorporates plenty of rest with a variety of workouts to keep your training focused but relaxed and flexible. No race plans on the calendar? Winter and not sure what to do? Want to keep consistent, build strength and power but also interested in cross training?
